Hello all! We are excited to announce that in order to further bolster the cause, spread the word and give our Friendly Local Games Stores some recognition, we’re sponsoring a Grassroots Advertising Flyer Campaign for The Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure: Ethermeet 2022! We will hold a raffle for a $100 DriveThru RPG gift certificate for those that work with our awesome game store communities to spread the word about Ethermeet! We want to do as much Good as possible, and we’d love to have your help and thank you for that aid!
The rules:
Between now and 9 PM CST Wednesday, December 7th, 2022, print off our PDF flyer (multiples appreciated!), and ask permission to post it in your local game store(s) to spread the word.
Take a picture of the posted flyer (details visible, please!) and an additional picture of the game store with its name and logo to thank them for their support!
Post these pictures and pertinent information about the game store to our Twitter feed, @crawlforthecure with the hashtag #jerryscrawl – let’s give them some advertising! Each game store post gives you another chance in the drawing.
We’ll contact the winner through Twitter to get your full information after the drawing to collect your loot!

The Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure: Ethermeet 2022 is winding up and we are full speed ahead to doing more Good for the American Cancer Society with your help! We will run the event on Saturday the 10th, 2022 from 8 AM CST until Midnight collecting donations in Jerry Stefek’s memory for this great cause! Through your support last year, we were able to raise over $3,100 for the American Cancer Society and we are going to set a goal of $5,000 this year to challenge our community. Please tell all your friends about this awesome RPG entertainment event!
The memorial play-a-thon is in memory of Jerry Stefek, a gamer, father, and re-enactor, who was lost to aggressive lymphoma in 2018. ALL proceeds will be given to cancer research and patient assistance through the American Cancer Society! Join us on December 10th, 2022, on the Twitch channel DCC Mayhem, and use your donation dollars to make our goal a reality!

Late news, but an anonymous Monster Donation of $300 has pushed us over the top to $1,800 total for The Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure 2022! It won’t go through with the $1,500 check to ACS, but we are honored and ecstatic to take it under our campaign umbrella to emphasize the impact of the Crawl’s efforts at Gamehole Con IX 2022! Our tremendous sponsors, Judges and players came together and enabled us to raise $1,478, and we can’t resist pushing that to an even $1,500 – all wrapped up and ready to go to the American Cancer Society!
I cannot say how many times I heard comments about how much fun people were having while performing the Mighty Deeds generating treasure for those in need through the American Cancer Society! Reavers fought the Un-dead of The Shambling Un-Dead 0-level funnel tournament 2016 with new spins and thrills, and battled bravely to the end!
Co-Champions Aaron Koelman and Brian Martin had characters that survived the longest with 11 survival stamps, but the sponsors were so generous, we had loot galore for all that participated! THANK YOU, all for your support!

On December 28, 2018, the gaming community incurred a sad loss of a gaming friend in Jerry Stefek when he was lost to aggressive cancer. His love of the RPG hobby and friends was always evident in his words and actions. We would like to celebrate Jerry and do Good works in his name, helping others in their time of need while going through this traumatic illness!
The Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure returns to Gamehole Con IX in 2022! We will run a mutated, morphed, and expanded Goodman Games 2015 DCC 0-level Funnel Tournament, The Shambling Un-Dead, to raise money for the American Cancer Society (https://cancer.org); we are charged up to make a difference in crazy, Appendix-N funnel action!
As with the previous Crawl for the Cure tournament, the details are similar:
Purchase your Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure commemorative token for $4 and play whenever there is an opening! And OF COURSE there is original Doug Kovacs artwork on the Memorial token for the event! (Tickets are honored but not necessary – pay at the table!)
A RIPE and MORE BLOATED Shambling Un-Dead Tournament – it will not be the same tournament and more new content will be added!
Of course the player with the character that survived the most encounters will be the winner of the tourney, but we’re going to open up some other fun prizes, for skill and ill!
DUAL tables to increase the competition and chaos (and trash talk!) – a little more competition always helps in the donations!
Use your donations to gain an advantage from the Judge or inflict woe on your opponents, wherever they may be! Use your donations to influence the game and create savage stories to share for years to come while helping those who need your dire support. Donation effects (or suggestions thereof) will be posted in the near future.
