DARK TOWER UPDATE – OCTOBER 6TH, 2024

Published to social media October 6, 2024.

Hello all! We are back with The Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure at Gamehole Con 11, October 19th, 2024 and we would love to see you there! We will be running the Goodman Games Original Adventures Reincarnated version of Jennell Jaquays’ legendary adventure, Dark Tower, as a “mega-funnel”. 0-level characters will be pitted against the full-octane adventure to fight to survive with their wits, luck and donations to the worthy cause of the American Cancer Society. ALL collected donations will, as always, be given to the American Cancer Society for research and assistance benefiting those and their loved ones in the hold of this terrifying disease.

The story will unfold on a 12’ x 12’, massive map of the Towers, similar to last year, which was amazingly fun and a sight to see. There are a myriad of opportunities for prizes and adventure that you won’t want to miss! Get your ticket to pick up your memorial token to play in the event at the link below! Can’t purchase a ticket online, yet or unsure of your schedule? Not a problem! Place your $10 donation at the Crawl for the Cure Atrium registration table and receive your token to play!

We would also like to announce a few special things that have been in the works that are dear to us we now present to you!

  • Please applaud Wayward Studios for creating an ex-Adventurer NPC in memory of our fond friend Aaron Koelman in their release, Out of Gnollwhere. They created the stout Innkeeper, Akaerrian Keenblade, imprinting Aaron upon the character so he is always within our hearts and on our bookshelves! Thank you, Wayward Studios, for the touching remembrance!
  • We also are commissioning Doug Kovacs to create a portrait of the Akaerrian Keenblade persona, so we can always have Aaron with us in spirit at every Crawl for the future! It won’t be done by Gamehole Con, unfortunately, however, Doug will give us a digital copy of his work so far so Aaron will be with us at Gamehole Con 2024 and beyond!
  • And more exciting news, Nate Marcel, of Umerica cover acclaim, has created an awesome original artwork of Jennell Jaquays as her favorite character – a female red dragon in the guise of a magic user! I’ve seen his initial artwork; it is an incredible rendition of Jennell transforming from a human to a red dragon, and it is stunning! A lucky raffle winner will take it home after the event! The special raffle will be open to all Con attendees, so tell your friends! Details link below!
  • We will be setting up a few memorials for our lost friends and fighting survivors this year: a picture memorial of those who have passed this year in our community, “Adventurers’ Rest”, and, Peter Garancis is putting together “The Pillar of Strength” honoring those lost to cancer and those who have survived the disease. A small donation will enable you to place ribbons in their honor. It will be an awesome sight and an incredible remembrance for our loved friends, bringing warm memories and hope! Well done, Peter!

We hope you’ll join the cause and help us smite cancer! Watch the website for updates as the event comes closer! Thank you for your support!

Thank you!
