We have settled on a date! We’ll be running the play-a-thon style Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure on Saturday, December 12th starting at 10 AM CST! Many games, great players, and we hope many dollars will be raised for the American Cancer Society in Jerry’s name! Watch on us Twitch channel DCC Mayhem to catch all the adventure!

Join us to pledge your loot to this great cause – all collected donations minus transaction fees from the collecting entities (GoFundMe and PayPal, see the fees detail page) will be given to the American Cancer Society for their great work! You donations will put you in hourly drawings during our event for exciting RPG products from our generous sponsors!

Your donations can also influence the game play as you watch! Throw some crazy into the games – you deserve it! Your charitable donations will give this world incredible things, and we want you to reap the rewards of our appreciation for your help with the cause. Give our Game Masters and players some chewy good chaos to chew on, or give the players a boon to survive the next encounter; it’s all up to you!

We are proud to announce we have commissioned Doug Kovacs, artist and illustrator extraordinaire to immortalize Jerry in Kovacsian style as one of Jerry’s favorite race/class combinations – the gnome thief-illusionist! Thank you, Doug for taking the time out of your busy schedule for this very special charity artwork! We are awed being able to have Jerry live on from your talents! THANK YOU!!!

Doug generously provided the original which will be given to Jerry’s daughter, Amanda, as a special memoir of The Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure 2020!

It’s Gamehole Con time of year, and the JSMCftC 2020 is not far behind! We are planning to run the virtual event as a “telethon” style gaming event where Jerry’s friends play for the day and solicit your generous donations for a great cause, The American Cancer Society. We will be running the event after Virtual Gamehole Con on  the Twitch channel DCC Mayhem in order to get the best turnout for your life-giving donations! The date is tentatively set for Saturday, November 14th, 2020, but nothing is in stone, so keep your eyes peeled here!

We have awesome PDF pledges to raffle to donors from Goodman Games, Purple Sorcerer Games, Stiff Whiskers Press and the convention home of the Crawl, Gamehole Con has pledged to contribute some PDFs from Gamehole Publishing! In fact, Purple Sorcerer Games will provide all donors a free DriveThruRPG download code for their Perils of the Sunken City PDF! Donate to a great cause and cure that roleplaying sweet tooth at the same time!

Sorry this is late folks – I think we’re all in the very strange circumstances of COVID-19 grip; unfortunately my work load went up for the duration (thank you, tech!) and it slipped my mind to update here. Gary Con XII was cancelled (although we all played virtually!), but in the good news, they will be opening with reduced capacity next year, so keep the faith for this awesome convention!

However, we’re in sight of Virtual Gamehole Con, and the 2020 event will be coming up in no time! See the next post!

We had a lot of extra poker chip passes with great Doug Kovacs artwork on them – it’s a pity to let them go to waste. So, Gary Con has given us the green light to run The Jerry Stefek Memorial Crawl for the Cure 2019: RELOADED! at Gary Con XII! It sounds like we’ll be in a great location with a lot of traffic – if you’re at Gary Con we hope you can take some time to help the American Cancer Society and make stories of a lifetime through your donations!
